The sterling silver is coated in rhodium which is part of the platinum family and more expensive than gold. It is also more durable and more tarnish resistant than sterling silver.
These earrings feature a hinge to help open and close it. The diameter of each hoop is 2.7 cm and the hoop width is 0.3 cm.
